Pros: good style
Cons: small non-expandable memory, battery life short
Opinion:
The thing is, even with it's reported short battery life and small (20+ MB) non-expandable memory, I was willing to shell out cash to whomever has the "frosted pink" 6111. Sadly, Nokia chooses to bring even mediocre phones so very slowly to the market. Fortress says they have no idea when this ver. will be available. Nokia has failed yet again to see that "appealing" must be in sync with "available" for a so-so phone like the 6111 during this holiday "impulse" buying season.
The Nokia 6111 offers a long-awaited improvement of Nokia's user interface, as well as a well-performing Megapixel camera and EDGE support for high speed data transfers - all in a slightly chubby yet unmistakably small slider form factor. Unfortunately, the handset's display and battery life follow said form factor in not being state of the art - still, the Nokia 6111 should be considered a good buy for people looking for a stable and small mid-range handset. What's positive: Intuitive user interface; good camera; EDGE for high-speed data transfers What's negative: Unimpressive display; mediocre battery life — infosyncworld.com
All in all I had a good experience with this 6111 slider and I would give Nokia high marks for producing this model which is a refreshing change to their array of monoblocs I’ve used all these years. Honestly, I’d even go as far as to say I prefer a sliding handset to a fold-up phone there’s just something slick about a gadget that reveals its whole form with just the flick of a finger, if you know what I mean. — mobile88.com
